Que parte de um povo possa, ao oposto dos seus compatriotas antepassados, ver noutros mundos algo mais que uma fonte de riqueza. Que se virem para o sul não só para explorar, antigamente, as riquezas alheias e, agora, a mão de obra barata que outros pagaram para formar, mas também pelo genuíno interesse do saber.
